TALK: Author Caroline Moorehead at the British Institute of Florence

Monday, 9 November 2026, 6pm - British Institute Library

We are excited to welcome Caroline Moorehead to the British Institute Library for a discussion about her life and work as a writer, with BIF director Simon Gammell. Caroline is a celebrated author of best-selling biography, history, literary criticism and human rights journalism.  The discussion will focus on two of her most recent books: A House in the Mountains: The Women Who Liberated Italy from Fascism and Mussolini’s Daughter: The Most Dangerous Woman in Europe. Taken together, these two extraordinary books go deep into the tragedy of fascism and war in Italy through the lens of women protagonists. This ‘meet-the-author’ event hosted by the British Institute is presented in partnership with Calliope Arts.
